What is Jarlight?

On a warm summer night, the fireflies got all mixed up. Every jar only glows when it holds a single colour, so it's up to you to sort them out and light up the garden.

Jarlight is a relaxing colour sort puzzle with a magical twist: soft night music, crickets, and fireflies that fly between jars in glowing arcs.

How to play

  1. Tap a jar to wake its fireflies.
  2. Tap another jar and watch them fly over in a glowing arc.
  3. Fill a jar with one colour: the lid pops shut, the jar lights up and a lantern glows on the string above.
  4. Light every jar to finish the night. Solve it without help for three stars.

The firefly who keeps the glowing jars. Small, bright and very patient with mixed-up fireflies.

The music

Gentle night music with no drums: celesta and harp arpeggios, glockenspiel, a soft string pad and felt piano, with crickets in the background. At Halloween, a moonlit pumpkin patch waltz on music box and cello.

Questions and answers

Is Jarlight free?

Yes, it's free on Google Play. There are two optional one-time purchases: Remove ads (about 2.99 EUR) turns off the ads between levels, and Premium (about 4.99 EUR) removes all ads and gives free help within a daily limit. No subscriptions.

Are there ads while I play?

No. Ads only show between levels. Undo and extra jars come from a short ad that you choose to watch, and you can remove ads with a one-time purchase.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Garden nights, Night of the day and Firefly Rush work without a connection. Internet unlocks the seasonal nights and the ads.

Which languages does it speak?

English, Portuguese and Spanish, with German, French and Italian arriving in the next update. The game picks your phone's language.

Which devices can I play on?

Android phones, through Google Play.

Who is it for?

Jarlight is made for players aged 13 and over who enjoy a calm puzzle. The official age rating is shown on Google Play.

What data does it collect?

No name, email, contacts, photos or precise location. It uses a random install ID and game events to see how the game is played, error reports to fix bugs, and the advertising ID and approximate location (from your IP) for ads. If you sign in to Google Play Games, a pseudonymous player ID. You can ask us to delete your data, and uninstalling resets the install ID.

Can I play if I'm colour-blind?

Yes. Turn on colour symbols in Settings and every firefly colour also gets its own symbol.

What if I get stuck?

Undo a move or add an empty jar by watching a short ad. Every night has a solution, and solving without help earns three stars.
