The studio
Erudite Octopus is a company that went from building software for others to creating its own entertainment. Every project mixes play and learning, and uses technology to stay small and fast. Our mascot, Eru, is a very curious octopus who never takes off his reading glasses.
Short, satisfying mobile games. New levels every week and special editions for Halloween, Christmas and every holiday in between.
Animated channels on YouTube, each with its own characters and a version made for every language, not just translated.
How things work, words, numbers, places and cultures. Learning happens inside the story or the game, never as a lecture.
Projects
Our own games and channels, from first prototype to launch.
A block puzzle with an octopus who loves a good combo. Endless mode, a daily puzzle and seasonal hunts, like the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt.
Sort glowing fireflies into jars and light up a magical night garden. Endless nights, a night of the day and seasonal events.
Mini golf seen from above, through tiny worlds with their own tricks: over 500 holes, a course of the day and the hole-in-one challenge.
Slide the furniture and help Tofu the cat slip out through the cat flap. Every room of the house has a new trick, and there is a room of the day.
A party game for one phone in the middle of the table: guess the artist and the song playing from your own music app, by voice or keyboard.
Catch falling paint with Blendi the chameleon and mix the perfect colour; her body turns the colour of her mix. Studio canvases, a colour of the day and Colour Rush.
Hoot the owl photographer waits for the perfect moment: when the busy scene looks just like the brief, press the shutter. Endless photos, a photo of the day and Deadline.
An enchanted antique shop: tap the curios nothing covers, pack away three alike and fill Mags the magpie's cabinet. Endless counters, a curio of the day and the Auction.
Two players, one phone: Ruby and Blu face off in 8 quick duels, from Tug of War and Air Hockey to Quick Draw and Bomb Pass. Best of 5, free play, or take on Bolt the robot alone.
A living farm in a sunny valley: plant, harvest, raise animals and make goods with Boo the capybara. Watch the forecast, keep pests away and open the valley under the fog.
Locked in, with only Wisp's lantern for light: search the rooms, combine items and crack the puzzles until the door opens. Story chapters from cosy to eerie, then endless new rooms.
A party word game for 3 to 12 friends on one phone: everyone gets the secret word except the impostor. Give clues, vote and catch them, with Fib the rabbit hosting the night out loud.
Turn the tiles and make it flow: water to the flowers, power to the houses, light through the mirrors. Endless levels, a puzzle of the day and Dot the otter on the tools.
A party game for your forehead: hold the phone up, your friends give clues or mime, and you tilt it down when you get it, up to pass. Six ways to play, 14 decks and Tilly the giraffe hosting a retro TV game show.
Drawing telephone for 3 to 12 friends: draw the secret word, guess the drawing, draw the guess, then watch how "bear" became "sad cupcake". On one phone or several, with Rascal the raccoon painter.
Cosy crosswords in the corner of an old bookshop: a new daily mini, quick numbered grids and big arrow words, written for each language, not translated. Inky the bookworm cheers every finished grid.
Swap potions to match three and watch them fizz: line up more to brew lightning, smoke bombs and rainbow elixirs. Endless levels through the eight rooms of an alchemist's workshop, with Cinder the salamander.
A social media puzzle hosted by Echo, a parrot who repeats everything. React with the right emoji, accept grandma, turn down the fake prince, report the fake news and never tap the prize pop-up, all before the battery dies.
Rescue puzzles for a team of two: Hazel the beagle pushes crates and sniffs out hidden paths, Digby the mole digs under hedges. Switch between them to bring every lost animal back to the rescue van, past gates, rivers, bogs and a sneaky fox.
Cosy card games by the fire with Maple the fox: Klondike, Spider and FreeCell where every deal can be won, a daily deal for each, and Sueca, Bisca and Foxtrot against friendly bots or with friends on several phones.
Trick shot pool with real physics in Rollo the armadillo's pool hall: bend the cue ball with spin, jump it over a wall of balls, bank off two cushions. Hundreds of trick shots, a spin school, classic games against bots and with friends.
A curious host and a sarcastic robot open up machines, nature and the human body, in animated cutaways no camera could film.
Songs, routines and first words with a small blue elephant and friends.
A chaotic family, a very old camper van and the whole world to see. Comedy first, culture along the way.
Famous real cases, told by a steady narrator and reconstructed in animation at the moments that matter.
